STYLE MUSE: KRISTINA BAZAN

EN:

I have decided to start a new Fashion series, called “Style Muses“. In this series, I am going to choose one fashion influencer that I really admire, and share with you my favorite outfits ideas and trends, inspired by the selected influencer.

Today’s Style Muse is Kristina Bazan from Kayture.com.

I have been following Kristina since she began fashion blogging, 7 years ago. In fact, she is the first person to ever inspire me in the fashion domain, and the reason why I started fashion blogging a few years ago. I have always admired her classy yet playful style and, even though she has changed a lot over the years, I can say that I would still wear any of her outfits. Ever.

At the beginning of her blogging career, Kristina’s fashion tastes were focused mainly on very chic and colorful clothing items. Lately she has started to adopt a darker, more rock-ish style, which I equally like.

If you want to find out more about Kristina, make sure to check her blog and Instagram, I have linked them both at the end of the post.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite Kristina Bazan trends, that YOU can also rock and get inspired from: Continue reading

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME

EN:

Let’s talk about how to make the most of your time. Does it ever happen to you to just sit there and all of a sudden realize that you have no idea where the whole day has disappeared? Of course, you had an incredibly busy day, you did not waste a single second, you had lots of activities and goals to accomplish, yet you feel like the whole day has lasted for one second. You feel like you have just woken up at the end of the day, not knowing how you got there. This used to happen to me all the time until a while ago when I realized what the problem was: the fear of deadlines.

WHAT OTHERS THINK OF YOU IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS

EN:

Caring about other people’s opinions is the biggest obstacle to your happiness and the thing that will constantly draw you back and keep you from progressing in life. And why is that?

Glad you asked.

So many people these days, especially teenagers and young adults, tend to suppress their desires and even their true personalities because they fear of what other people would think about their actions. “What will my mom say?”, “What will grandpa say?”, “How will my classmates feel about me doing that?”. All of these are frequent and seemingly harmless obstacles, small thoughts that make you question your most genuine wishes and sometimes determine you to give up on some things, ideas or even precious passions of yours because you are worried that your definition of “right” does not correspond to theirs.

THE TRUTH ABOUT FRIENDS – MY THOUGHTS

EN:

The truth about friends

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” – Jim Rohn

It’s time for you to hear the truth about friends. It is extremely unfortunate that so many people with huge potential are wasting their time and capabilities because they allow the wrong “friends” to influence them. And it is not necessarily about the fact that your closest friends have a big impact on your behavior, which is also true, but it is more about the people you choose to spend your time with, a choice which tells a lot about your personality, expectations, and perception of life. MAKE YOUR SHOES MORE COMFORTABLE

I have only tried this trick with my flats, so I am not sure if it is also going to work on heels or other types of shoes. But feel free to try it. So, if your favorite pair of flats is causing you blisters above your heel and the only choices you have are to either to throw them away or stop wearing them, think again! I have learned this trick from one of my friends a long time ago, and it works perfectly for me. It’s the best way to make your shoes more comfortable.

EASY BEAUTY TIPS: TIP OF THE WEEK #2

In this article, I will share my easy beauty tips to be followed every single day. This is the second part of my TIP OF THE WEEK mini-series. Also, don’t forget to check out PART 1 and PART 3 of the series!

As far as beauty is concerned, if you are the type of girl that doesn’t have a beauty routine, it might be difficult for you to begin doing everything you are supposed to do, all at once. The first piece of advice that I am going to give you is to start slowly. Go one step at a time. For instance, if you don’t drink enough water, you should focus on that in the beginning. And keep drinking the right amount of water every day for a week or two. That is until you get used to doing it, and then everything will come naturally. After that, you should start focusing on another beauty habit, and so on.

I don’t know about you, but I always forget to drink the right amount of water every day. And, as we all know, drinking plenty of water, especially during the summer, is extremely important. Therefore, if you are anything like me and you tend to forget about the famous 2 liters of water per day, here is the trick that I have been trying for several weeks, and it works pretty well for me.

As I have mentioned in the previous post, this list contains items that you should take with you no matter where you go. HOLIDAY SERIES: PART 1

Aaand I am back, after nine months of absence. I have abandoned my blog because my initial intention was to make it a fashion blog, with photos of the outfits that I wear. When college has begun, I did not have time to take care of my blog, but the biggest problem that I had and that I still have is the fact that I do not have a photographer to take photos of my outfits. Therefore, last year I have decided to give up on my blog and I made it private, so that I would be the only one able to read it.
Until now. I have realized that, only because I can’t have a fashion blog, does not mean that I can’t have a blog at all. So here I am, bringing Little White Diamond back to life!

I know that I might be a little late with this kind of post, but for those of you who haven’t already left  for the holidays, I am here with some tips for having the perfect holiday (or at least the perfect holiday backpack).
My holiday series will have 4 parts, and I will make some lists with the items that you should have with you while on holiday. So, let’s get started. 🙂

AUTUMN MUST-HAVES (PART 2)

This is the second part of my list of autumn must-haves. I am really looking forward to sharing with you the shoes and accessories that should be in your wardrobe for fall. So, here they are:

1. The SCARF

Nothing keeps you warm on a cold autumn day better than a scarf. I think it is a very important item, because there are three regions of your body which can make a huge difference as far as your body temperature is concerned: your hands, your feet, and your neck. I have noticed that, no matter how many sweaters and jackets I am wearing at a certain moment, if my neck is not covered, I would definitely feel cold. Therefore, you must have at least one fall appropriate scarf in your wardrobe. I prefer scarves which remind me of autumn, such as orange or green ones, or scarves that have a certain autumn themed pattern. Continue reading

AUTUMN MUST-HAVES (PART 1)

September is right around the corner, and I am really looking forward to wearing my autumn clothes again. Fall is my favorite season for fashion. I don’t know exactly why, but I just love wearing cozy items such as sweaters, scarves and jackets. I have always loved preparing my wardrobe for the fall season and bringing all of my layering items on the rack and thinking about new ways to mix and match them.

Here are some items that we should all have in our fall wardrobe:
Every girl/ woman/ man/ person should have at least one white shirt in their wardrobe, because it’s such an easy to wear item, since you can use it in an elegant outfit or in a casual outfit. It is also a must-have item for the back to school season, especially for those of you who have a dress code or a color code at school.

DETAILS

All of us have heard that “beauty is in the details”, and I have recently discovered how true that is. The only difference is that, in my case, happiness is in the details. If you don’t understand what I mean, keep reading. 🙂
There are really few things that can make us extremely happy, but only because we do not own them, does not mean that we can’t enjoy our life. What I am trying to say is that it’s the small actions and objects that can influence our mood or the way we see life.
A smile, a new dress, a beautiful landscape, a childhood photo… All of these are things that we sometimes forget to enjoy. In my opinion, the key to a better life is trying to see the good and the beauty in everything.
I am now going to give you some examples of small things that have the ability to slightly or significantly change my mood, and I am going to begin with the object that made me think about writing this article in the first place.
