The University Square (Piața Universității) has become one of my favorite places for a photo shooting in Bucharest. Maddie and I took these pictures in October, and I am super excited to finally share them with you!
This is the second part of our photo shooting at Afi Cotroceni, from the first day of the 5 DAYS OF FASHION challenge. I have already published the first part of the project a while ago, under 5 DAYS OF FASHION – DAY 4: SHOPPING DAY. I have received incredible feedback on those pictures, both on my blog and Instagram. Thank you guys so much for your support, your insights really help us a lot! 😃

I’ll admit, I felt a bit of a sugar craving during DAY 4, but I got myself an orange juice and fixed it. Let me share with you some secrets on how to avoid snacking on unhealthy stuff:
- Eat enough on your main meals, so that you don’t feel the need to snack later.
- Always have healthy snacks with you (fruits, nuts, delicious homemade chocolate oatmeal) so that you don’t turn to the vending machine whenever the cravings strike.
- Research delicious healthy snacks (oatmeal, smoothies, fruit salads) – be creative! Knowing that, after the lunch break at work, I get to eat my oatmeal, makes me super, super excited! Find healthy alternatives that get you excited, and you won’t even have the time for other unhealthy stuff!
Here’s what I ate during DAY 4:
5 DAYS WITHOUT SUGAR – HOW TO COOK QUINOA DAY
You will learn how to cook quinoa at the end of the article. Until then, here are my thoughts about day 3:
Who would have thought that it can be so easy to avoid sugar and that there are so many food options out there? I am really having a lot of fun experimenting with so many delicious, processed sugar-free meals and snacks, and I totally recommend you to also try this out, at least for 2-3 days! 😃
Here’s my DAY 3 menu:Continue reading
Loss of motivation thoughts first, outfit at the end of the post.
Lately, I have been going through a pretty rough phase and I have lost my motivation almost completely, for a short period of time. But now I have been working on regaining it, and I have started to think about this subject a lot. I read articles and watch YouTube videos, and I have realized that too many people around me are only reacting to their lives, to the things that happen to them, instead of making things happen for them, because they have lost their motivation, and I find this extremely disappointing. I am going to begin with the link: here you go. All you have to do is give me a 10, if you like my outfit 🙂 . For more details, keep reading.
If you haven’t heard already, Glamour Street Fashion Show is the biggest, most fashionable event of the year, organized by GLAMOUR Magazine. Continue reading
They say “home is where the heart is”. For me, home is the place where I grew up, because only there I feel like myself, I feel happy and motivated to develop myself, because there are too many distractions anywhere else. There is no place where I feel better than at home, surrounded by everything that, until a while ago, I have completely forgotten to love – the mountains, the forest, the wild flowers. To me, my hometown is the most beautiful place on Earth.
Note: The following intro is going to show up in all of my “Travel Diaries” posts, followed by distinct descriptions and impressions on each place that I have visited.
A few days ago I went on an exploratory trip in my very beautiful country, Romania. I absolutely love mountain areas and cities located into the mountains, so I decided to visit some of the most famous and beautiful such cities in Romania.
Impressions: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
I am so pleased with the outcome of this trip, I have seen soooo many beautiful, beautiful places, and I must say, again, that I am very proud of my country. I sincerely and dearly encourage you to visit Romania and all of the places that I am going to mention in this “Travel Diaries” series. I will also show you a preview, if you are harder to convince.
I only took photos with my phone, because I didn’t bring my camera with me – and I really regret that – but, on the other hand, there are a lot of nice photos, made by professional photographers on the Internet, so I am going to show you some of those. I know that this has no personal touch from me, so I am also going to add some of the photos that I took with my phone and some that I posted on my Instagram account ( @alexandra_bulac ), and I think they turned out really well. My photos (except for the Instagram ones) are not edited. If you want Photoshop perfection, that’s what the Internet ones are for. I will just show you the raw beauty of it.
From what I can remember, as soon as I purchased every item of this look during the summer, I knew that I would pair them in this exact outfit. I have ALWAYSSS wanted a red plaid shirt, because it is a timeless piece, and my mother agreed, but not in the good way. She said that it is old fashioned and that she had one herself when she was my age, but I bought it anyway, because I knew that there are endless ways in which you can wear this item.
Absolutely in love with this awesome weather! Even though I’m a huge fan of layering and of cozy items, I must admit that I kind of missed wearing skirts and sleeveless tops.
Later edit: the day when I had this shooting was NOTHING like this day when I am posting it. It is raining and it’s awful. Think I’m gonna wear a long coat, because the umbrella simply isn’t enough for this storm.
But, let’s get back to brighter days.
