JEWELRY COLLECTION AND ORGANIZING

My jewelry collection has started growing when I was 10. Until then, I only had one pair of earrings and some beaded bracelets that I kept losing. And then I have discovered a pair of silver butterfly earrings that my mom owned. She gladly gave them to me, as she never wore them. It was the first time I ever changed my earrings, from small golden hoops to dainty, silver butterflies. I still have those earrings, but one of them broke, so I have to get it fixed before I wear them again (or show them in a YouTube video).

Organizing gets me so excited! I’ve always loved cleaning, organizing, and getting rid of things that I no longer needed. I believe material clutter causes mental clutter. That is why I’m always trying to keep my space – and my wardrobe – as neat as possible. So today I have decided to take you with me through my sorting process.

My top 5 favorite items in my jewelry collection, which you will see in the video, are the following:

I had so much fun filming this video! It has also been an opportunity for me to rearrange my jewelry and put away those items that I no longer wanted to wear. As you will see in the video, I have a moderate amount of jewelry items. But I do feel like this is just enough for me. However, each time I buy or receive another jewelry item, I try to give away some of those that I no longer wear.

A CHILL SATURDAY VLOG – SHOPPING DAY

A Chill Saturday Vlog was born as a result of me trying to spend more time with myself. Because, recently, I’ve been trying to become more social – I know, perfect timing. That is because I used to be the ultimate introvert. My weekends were all about reading and indulging in a home spa routine. It was so annoying when people asked me out because going out would mean less time for my books and hobbies.

But after completing the course The Science of Wellbeing on Coursera, I have discovered the benefits of socializing. I have started to actively search for people to talk to, and it has noticeably improved my well-being.
At the moment I am building the habit of going out with at least one person every weekend. But what happens when you are unable to spend time with somebody else?

Last weekend, all of my close friends have abandoned me. Nobody was available to go out with me. But, instead of following a normal weekend routine, I have decided to have a “me day”. And this is how a chill Saturday vlog was born.

Living the life of a fashionista

I remember writing the article announcing the beginning of this series, and I can’t really believe it’s already over. It feels like so little time has passed, yet so many things have happened. Lots of videos, pictures and fashionable activities.

The purpose of this whole experiment was, I repeat, self-discovery. I wanted to live the life of a fashionista, and I did! 😀 I chose not to wait until “I have the money” or until “I’ll have more time”, I chose to do it now. Because that’s how things happen – in the now. Not in the future nor in the past. If you want to do something, do it now. Because tomorrow will be just like today and just like the day after and the day after and the day after. Nothing will change. You must change things.

5 DAYS OF FASHION – DAY 4: SHOPPING DAY

Almost there…

This whole fashion week has been a lot more intense than I’ve expected, a lot of things have happened, I have learned so many lessons and I have pushed myself outside my comfort zone every single day. Which is why, again, I recommend all of you to also join me in this challenge, or any challenge of your choice.

The thing that made it so intense for me was also the fact that I have made it public, so I had an extra reason to stick to it. Maybe if I would have kept this experiment for myself, I wouldn’t have gotten to the fourth day and I wouldn’t have done so many things related to it. I am really glad that I have taken this decision, thank you so much everybody for being with me! I have received so much support from you guys, and I am extremely grateful for that! 😀

5 DAYS OF FASHION – DAY 3: MOVIE NIGHT

Wow, we’re halfway there!

Today was a beautiful day, super productive and fashionable. I have managed to do everything that I had in plan (which you will see in the checklist below), and I am really enjoying every moment of it, this experiment is an amazing way to discover what I like and what I don’t like. 🙂

Of course, I can’t go to fashion shows or restaurants every day, especially because I have a full-time job, but I am doing my best to do as many “fashionable” things I can during one day – wear makeup, style my hair, plan my outfits, go out, take a lot of pictures, be super active on social media and so on. I hope you guys are enjoying this as much as I do, and thank you s much for joining me in this experiment, for watching and for voting on my Instagram stories!

5 DAYS OF FASHION – DAY 2: WORKING DAY

Day 2 was a bit milder than the first one, because it was not only about fashion, but work also. I have checked a lot of items on my list, you’ll see it below, and it was an overall productive and fashionable day. 😀

After the daily recap from below, you will find some pictures that Maddie and I shot last summer. I never got the chance to share them with you, and I am super excited because I have started to see such a huge improvement, both for Maddie as a photographer and for me as a model, after looking at old pictures versus new ones.

5 DAYS OF FASHION – DAY 1: SHOOTING DAY

Wow, this day was intense.

First of all, if you haven’t seen my Instagram stories, make sure to check them out daily. I am going to post all the live updates there.

Before sharing with you the recap, I would like to write a few words about this whole challenge.

Five days like a fashion girl

The purpose of this experiment is self-discovery, that is why, on my Instagram story, I have also encouraged you to do it. I have decided to live five days like a fashion girl in order for me to find out what it actually feels like, and whether I like it, or not.

So far, I can say that I’m really enjoying it. But there are 4 more days to come, so who knows what’s gonna happen next.

My main problem regarding sharing this personal experiment with you was the part where I had to film myself talking about it. At first I have hesitated a lot, because I was so worried about what people would say about me if I do this. And then I realized that, if everybody cared about what others think about them, then we would all be the same, doing the same things and obeying all the rules, whether we like them or not. ROYAL BLUE FALL FASHION MOOD BOARD

Hey guys! First of all, I would like to thank you for all the love that you showed towards my latest fashion article! I am extremely grateful for all your comments and messages!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I mostly wear black or neutral tones ( white, nude, denim ) sometimes paired with one element which brings a pop of color to the outfit. Your comments made me think about the fact that I really do not own so many colorful clothes, which is why I have challenged myself to bring more color to my wardrobe.

Since so many of you guys have complimented the dress that I was wearing in last week’s Fashion post, I have decided to make an inspirational board in case you also want to integrate brighter colors in your outfits. We shall begin, of course, with royal blue, because I personally find it pretty difficult to create an outfit around this color. Back from the holidays

Hey there, so good to be back! How are you guys doing? How did you spend your Easter holidays? I hope you are all well and ready to get back in business. 🙂

Today I want to share with you the last outfit for cold weather, since the weather is so gloomy here in Bucharest. Who knows when cloudy days may return? This is why I have prepared this “cold-spring” outfit for you.

I must say that in this #outfit post I am wearing two of my favorite clothing items in my wardrobe: my burgundy faux-fur jacket and my most beloved ZARA jeans.

I only buy my jeans from Zara, because it is the brand that I trust the most in terms of high quality denim. I have been looking for a good pair of ripped jeans for months, until I have found the ones that I am styling in this Fashion post. They are one of my most beloved pieces. I have decided to start a new Fashion series, called “Style Muses“. In this series, I am going to choose one fashion influencer that I really admire, and share with you my favorite outfits ideas and trends, inspired by the selected influencer.

I have been following Kristina since she began fashion blogging, 7 years ago. In fact, she is the first person to ever inspire me in the fashion domain, and the reason why I started fashion blogging a few years ago. I have always admired her classy yet playful style and, even though she has changed a lot over the years, I can say that I would still wear any of her outfits. Ever.

HOW TO WEAR GREEN THIS SPRING

As far as I am concerned, green has never been my favorite color in terms of clothing items. Even though everybody was telling me that this color emphasizes my green eyes and white skin. This wasn’t enough to convince me to purchase green pieces of clothing. In fact, the only clothes that I have in this color are a midi dress, a shirt and a khaki puffer jacket. Now, after seeing all the beautiful pictures that I have presented in the “How to wear green this spring” mood board below, I have added two must-have green items to my wish list: a Balmain – inspired blazer and a Tiara Concept Store bag.

I have created a collection of the most beautiful outfits that I found on Pinterest. I also have a mood board on Polyvore, where I’ve hand picked my favorite green items. Today’s post features a super chic and comfy outfit, perfect for school, going to the mall or for a day out with your friends. The items that I am wearing are all basic pieces, which you can combine with everything already existent in your wardrobe.

A faux-fur coat can always, always level up the appearance of an outfit. It is such a delicate, feminine and glamour piece, that stands out on its own, which is why I have paired it with an all black look.

I have to mention though that the coat is not the most reliable in terms of keeping you warm, but the thick turtleneck sweater underneath might save you from the cold weather. Continue reading →

Since the weather here in Romania has been so “friendly” later, I have decided to share with you a very weather-appropriate outfit.

This one is more on the casual side, but as simple as it may seem, I believe that the details and the color combo make it stand out.

Even though this may not be your usual “fashion blogger inspired” outfit, it is a cool and casual look that anybody can wear anywhere. It is super comfortable and it is perfect for going to classes or meeting with friends.

I believe that fashion bloggers nowadays set very unrealistic expectations in terms of clothing. I mean, who in the world wears a skirt at -10° Celsius? And who can actually walk in heels on slippery ice? If you’re into that kind of thing, good for you, everybody is free to wear whatever they like.

Glamour Street Fashion Show – Primul Pas

În ziua în care am văzut anunțul pentru cea de-a treia ediție GLAMOUR Street Fashion Show pe pagina de Facebook GLAMOUR Romania, am dat click imediat pe link-ul care m-a trimis la pagina cu detaliile despre concurs. Am aruncat o privire rapidă peste trendurile propuse pentru ținuta de concurs și imediat am știut ce voi alege: accente masculine (voi fi sinceră, nu am ales acest trend pentru că am simțit că mi se va potrivi cel mai bine sau pentru că așa mi-a dictat inspirația de moment, ci pentru că era cam singura categorie care se potrivea cu garderoba mea).

În ce a constat concursul, pe scurt: fiecare participantă a trebuit să își aleagă o ținută în conformitate cu unul dintre trendurile toamnă-iarnă prezentate pe site-ul revistei GLAMOUR, și să trimită poze cu ea purtând acea ținută uneia dintre cele 11 ambasadoare GLAMOUR, listate aici. Ambasadoarele au ales 10 fete pentru echipa fiecăreia, iar pozele noastre au fost publicate pe platforma de concurs. Publicul ne-a votat cu note de la 1 la 10 timp de câteva săptămâni, iar media acestor voturi a contat în proporție de 50% pentru nota finală, restul de 50% depinzând de un juriu de specialitate, pe baza ținutelor din seara evenimentului. SUMMERTIME SADNESS

I have always been the type of person who loved rainy days. Don’t get me wrong, nothing motivates me and energizes me more than looking at the blue sky on a sunny day, but the smell of the air after the rain and hiding under a blanket with a cup of tea or hot chocolate… priceless. That’s why my absolutely favorite season is, without any hesitation, fall.

I am in love with fall fashion, maybe because I have always had this weird thing – and I hope I’m not the only one – for getting all covered up and cozy; it makes me feel safe. When I was little and there was a storm outside, I would go and sit in the corner of my room, between the bed and the wall, with one of my toys, both of us covered in a blanket, and not only would I feel protected, but I would also feel comfortable and happy. Therefore, the simple action of switching from tank tops to fluffy sweaters, from sandals to boots and from cardigans to coats, to me, is the equivalent of opening a Christmas present.
