Wow, this day was intense.

First of all, if you haven’t seen my Instagram stories, make sure to check them out daily. I am going to post all the live updates there.

Before sharing with you the recap, I would like to write a few words about this whole challenge.

Five days like a fashion girl

The purpose of this experiment is self-discovery, that is why, on my Instagram story, I have also encouraged you to do it. I have decided to live five days like a fashion girl in order for me to find out what it actually feels like, and whether I like it, or not.

So far, I can say that I’m really enjoying it. But there are 4 more days to come, so  who knows what’s gonna happen next.

My main problem regarding sharing this personal experiment with you was the part where I had to film myself talking about it. At first I have hesitated a lot, because I was so worried about what people would say about me if I do this. And then I realized that, if everybody cared about what others think about them, then we would all be the same, doing the same things and obeying all the rules, whether we like them or not.

So I have decided to just do my thing, regardless of 1, 2, 3 negative comments. And guess what: I haven’t received any negative comment so far. 😀 Moreover, 3 people reached out to me to congratulate me for this initiative, and this made me super happy. Thank you, guys! 🙂

At first it was pretty difficult to do the videos, because I was so unaccustomed to the camera, but after less than 30 minutes I have started to be more relaxed (and frown less haha) and the ideas came to me a lot easier. I know, there were a lot of “so”s, background noise, sometimes reduced audio quality, but we’re getting there. That’s how it goes – you make mistakes, and then you learn. 🙂

Overall, it was a really successful day, and I have gotten a lot more excited about this challenge.

  1. Cool outfit – CHECKED
  2. Makeup – CHECKED

  5. A ton of selfies – CHECKED

  1. It takes a HUGE amount of time! Posting, filming, editing + the actual process of DOING the stuff that you film and pose.
  2. The attention from others is pretty addictive. Makes you want more of it (checking who has seen your story, counting the number of likes).
  3. You have to glue your phone to your hand.

  1. Don’t think. about what other people think. about you.
  2. Just do your thing, regardless of what people say.
  3.  You can do anything. All you have to do is start.

Read about what do I mean by “five days like a fashion girl” in the introductory article for the 5 DAYS OF FASHION challenge.

Now, did you really think that I would let fashion week day one end without some fashionable pictures? If so, you were wrong. 😛 I am not going to share with you the pictures that Maddie and I shot today because they are not ready yet. I would like to share with you an older and equally fashionable photo shooting that we did a while ago.

This shooting is part of my collaboration with Civion for their “The Bubble” earrings. The first thing that I must say is that these earrings have been one of my best jewellery purchases ever, because I have been wearing them so, so, so much! At least once a week, which is a lot, when you have tens of other choices. They go well with everything, they look high quality and they can really add glamour to any look.

Not sure if the code ALEXANDRA25 still works, but if you are interested in some of their products, leave me a message and I may be able to get you a discount code. 😀 (Later edit: I have just checked, and you can get 25% off any purchase by using the code ALEXANDRA25 at checkout.)

Enjoy the pictures, there are so many more to come and I am really excited about this whole thing.

I hope you guys had the patience to read this rather long article. If you did, know that I am extremely grateful and I would love to hear your thoughts about it!

See you tomorrow for the 5 DAYS OF FASHION – DAY 2!
