As promised in last week’s Surprise Article, I have prepared a TRAVEL MAKEUP BAG LIST for all my ladies who are packing for the 1st of May holidays. <3
Before jumping straight into the makeup essentials, I would like to ask you what do you think about the first part of this series ( HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS )? Did you find it useful? Was it a bit too much? Do you also pack the whole house like I do? Leave your answers in the comments section below, or let me know on Instagram or Facebook, I would love to read your feedback!
Without further ado, here are my suggestions for the TRAVEL MAKEUP BAG:
THE FACE
- moisturizer + SPF
- eye cream
- foundation
- concealer
- face powder
- blush
- bronzer
- highlighter
Among the items mentioned above, I do not use face powder, blush, bronzer or highlighter, but I have added them to the list in case you girls do.
If you want to keep it as simple as possible or if you do not have enough room in your backpack, you can only take a face moisturizer ( with SPF! ) and foundation. You can use the face moisturizer on the under-eye area also, and the foundation will double as a concealer. If you have oily skin, you may also pack the face powder. You can use a red or coral lipstick / eye shadow instead of the blush. As for the bronzer and highlighter, let’s be serious, you can survive one week at the seaside without them.
THE EYES
- eye shadow
- eye line
- mascara
I know you might say that the eye cream should be part of this category, but I wanted to emphasize the idea that you should use eye cream whether you are planning to wear eye makeup or not.
THE LIPS
- lip balm
- lipstick
That is pretty much it about this category. Make sure to always wear lip balm, do not neglect your lips. They also need hydration and protection from the UV radiation, so apply lip balm every time you are preparing to leave the house.
Also, make sure that your lip balm is mostly natural, and not some low quality product that lasts for 30 minutes and dries your lips instead of hydrating them. I do not recommend Maybelline’s Baby Lips, Nivea is a slightly better alternative. What I do recommend is to find a natural lip balm, I am going to talk about the ones that I am using in a future Beauty post.
GOOD NIGHT
This category is all about taking the day off your face. Make sure to always clean your face before going to bed, even if you have worn makeup throughout the day or not. And don’t forget about the moisturizer – your skin goes through a regeneration process during the night, so you want to make sure you give it some nutrients to absorb.
- face cleanser
- cotton pads
- makeup remover
- micellar water
- serum
- moisturizer
EXTRAS:
- hand sanitizer
- makeup brushes
- mirror
- q-tips
A little bonus item would be the dry shampoo, which can be a really important product especially during summer time. I try to use it as rarely as possible, but it can become a lifesaver in many situations.
That is it, ladies! These are all my travel essentials, I hope you really liked this article and, more than anything, I hope it helped and inspired you in any possible way.
