MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CONCENTRATE

I have purchased this product from the Kiehl’s store in Afi Palace Cotroceni, in Bucharest. I was looking for a night-time serum for my updated skincare routine. So Midnight Recovery Concentrate was the first recommendation that I have found online. It is one of Kiehl’s best-selling products, so I decided to give it a try.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

After discussing with the shopping assistant, I went for the mini version (15ml), to test the product. There was also a full-size version which has 30ml. The price for the mini version is 99 RON (25,96 USD), while the price for the full-size version is 190 RON (52 USD).

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate comes in a small bottle with a glass dropper. This is a huge plus because you can easily control the amount of product you apply to your skin. It has a subtle lavender smell and it absorbs quickly into the skin. It is a transparent oil with a fluid consistency. Moreover, the serum does not make the skin look oily at all. So far so good.

How to use Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Pour 2-3 drops on your fingertips, warm them up between your palms, then apply to clean skin, avoiding immediate eye area. Then, allow it a few seconds to absorb. You can finish up by using your night-time moisturizer. At the moment I am using 100% organic shea butter as a night-time moisturizer. That is because it does wonders for my skin. So I am thinking about writing an article about it very soon.

I have bought the serum in March 2017, and I have finished it in January 2018. So it does last a long time.

Results

I am sure that all those natural ingredients have helped my skin one way or another. However, there is no visible difference in the long run. Indeed, I have been impressed in the first few days. I was using both the daytime and the night-time serum. As a result, my skin was glowing and it looked very nice. But after using Midnight Recovery Concentrate for several weeks, I stopped noticing any difference from the way my skin looked before ever using the serum. However, I am not saying that it didn’t do anything for my skin. There just aren’t visible long-term results.

In conclusion, I am not planning to repurchase the product for the time being. Because I want to give my skin a break and try to see if there is going to be any noticeable difference. Also, I recently saw a review on YouTube which said that all those essential oils are harmful to the skin. So I will try something else for the time being.

So, have you ever tried the Midnight Recovery Concentrate serum? Because if you did, you have to let us know what you think about it. Leave a comment below, or on my Instagram!

As a side note, I have recently discovered the Monoi de Tahiti oil. I absolutely love it for my body, it is another must-try.
